The Art Museum area, named for the hill upon which the Philadelphia Museum of Art stands, borders the Ben Franklin Parkway and Fairmount Park, the largest urban park in the world. Originally known as Fairmount with some of its sections continuing to recognize themselves as such, the Art Museum/Fairmount neighborhood is located in the Northwest quadrant of Center City and includes the surrounding sections of Brewerytown, Francisville and Spring Garden.
